Drew University, Madison, New Jersey


Bahara is from Ghore province in Afghanistan. She attended Marefat School and Star Academy in Kabul. She joined the AGFAF family in 2013 when she was a sophomore at  Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania.  She is currently a senior at Drew University majoring in computer science and economics. At Drew she served as freshman class president, Drew senator and international students vice president. 

Bahara has had various internships at places such as American University of Afghanistan, Afghan Holding Group, and American Institute of Afghanistan Studies.

In the summer of 2018 she started her computer coding camp in Kabul, Afghan Girls Code through which she taught coding classes to teenage girls at Baale Parwaz Library.

Bahara’s goal is to start a female only tech company in Afghanistan so that she can one day empower women in Afghanistan through technology.

She is the first person in her family to come to the United States to achieve her higher education and dreams.
